I drew the tag. I had cancer surgery and haven't been out yet but am feeling well enough now. My question is would the Sheep creek area be best late Nov ? And does anyone know if it's too far from the end of the road to hike to Sheep Creek peak and back in a day, or would someone need to pack in? I can't tell by the maps. Thanks for any help,it will be fun to get a little time in the outdoors at the least.

Pray for snow. When we had the tag 5-6 years ago there was 3 feet of snow on top and it was incredible. Most of the deer were right down in the foothills.

Congrats on a great tag. I spend a ton of time in unit 67 throughout all months of the year. The deer populations are way, way down right now but I would still love to hunt 67 late.

Yes, you can hunt around or on sheep creek peak during a long day hunt. A person in decent shape could make it to the top in ~3 hrs.

I would definitely not spend a lot of time in Sheep creek with the late tag. Give me a call and I will give you some good information. PM sent

Thanks Muleys24Seven,
I am fired up for the Rut Hunt and just a little over anxious to get out there. Scouting really doesn't matter as much because it depends alot on snowfall in Nov.
A 180 or bigger would be so awesome. I am 52 yo and it's time to get a wallhanger, eh?
