Unit 57 WY. Heading out tomorow. Daughters tag

My 13 yr old has a tag for unit 57. I hunted it about 5 years ago and did well.

Anyone been out there recently? Lots of hunters? Is the drilling making a difference?

I hunted a unit near there opening week and did not see anything over 14". Some of the locals are saying the drill rig and gas field workers are poaching the bigger bucks, and from what I saw this may be true--or it could have been an off year, or I maybe just wasnt lucky enough to find one. If you find a 14 incher with great mass and prongs it may be hard to pass up. good luck.

Just got back, 4 days of scouting before season and found 2 shooter bucks. I shot mine, 20 minutes into season. I had him green scored yesterday at 82 2/8 by BC scorer. Lots and lots of drilling activity, but the antelope don't seem bothered by it. It was a great hunt, send me a PM if you want information on 57.
