unit 56 elk

anybody hunted this unit? what are the chances of running into some elk?

I have an archery permit.

There are elk, most of the big ones are on private ground

Well, I went out and hunted all day Saturday in unit 56. Not only did I not find any elk, I couldn't even find old scat, tracks, rubs or anything. Saw tons of beef cattle, missed a coyote. That's about it. Went to the backside of blackpine at last light and finally found one bull and a cow. Long story short, no luck.

I'd love to see some elk in 56 though, much more like the country I prefer to hunt. Easier to sneak around in.

Any leads would be awesome.
