unit 45 elk

Can anyone tell me about hunting in this unit? The regs say very limited access. The whole unit can't be land locked can it? Would it be worth it to try and draw the late elk tag. Are all the elk on private land at that point in the season. Just trying to decide which unit to put in for a controlled elk hunt with reasonable draw odds.

Thanks for the info. Has anyone else hunted the late hunt in this unit. I put in for it. Who knows if I'll draw. It sounds like it would be fun. Anyone?

I have hunted in that unit(my son had a tag) and will say there is plenty of public land, but it seemed most of that was deer country and a lot of the good looking elk country seemed to be nearer the top of the main ridgeline(timber) and that was mostly private. I'm sure they move around, but...
