Unit 42 for Deer

I am wondering if anyone has general information about the unit. I am from southern Idaho and dont know anything about the unit. Size of deer, best habitat to hunt, best time to hunt, anything would be useful. I will accept PMs also. Thanks

41 is a tough hunt not alot of deer & a huge area...if I had that tag I would hunt the area bordering 40 & 42 along mudflat road..alot of animals from 40 cross back & forth..also the big jacks creek area would be a good s spot to look at & also the 41 side around battle creek good luck

when is the season? the early part of the year the deer will be pretty close to south and juniper mountains and funnel down later, especially once everybody starts running those roads up there. they tend to head down into the thick or remote
