My wife drew a unit 40 cow tag, we hunted the north east side of south mountain, south mountain creek, vulcan gulch. not even any sign of them in there, friends that drew the early bull tags turned me on to these spots as they killed bulls in there, does any one know where the elk go to after the rut, talked to several people that say they go up on to south mountain to breed and after the rut they bug out of there? any help would be greatly appriciated, I would really like to see her get an elk it would be her first one, we have until Nov. 24.
