unit 37

Just got back from deer hunting there. Very disappointed in the number of deer. Except for one small group one morning, the only deer I saw were in alfalfa fields next to the highway on my way in and again on the way back home.

I ran into a few hunters with the Oct. 15 opening cow tags while I was up there, all had the same story - not much to see. I found scattered elk sign. In fact, more elk sign than deer sign. However, there was no indication of large herds using the area yet.

If anyone is willing to share thoughts on deer in unit 37 I'd like to hear it.
