Unit-30-A ELK

I live in the Boise area,and will be putting in for this unit for the Elk hunt. I 'm calling the F&G,and getting topo maps,and was hoping to get info. from anyone who has hunted this area before. Thanks..

It's not a hard unit to learn. A weekend of scouting in the area and you'll have a pretty good idea what the lay of the land is. Don't get your hopes up, you have about a 1 in 12 chance of drawing. So you should draw a tag at least one time over the next twelve years if you put in every year. If you archery hunt you can hunt it every year.
