My son drew the youth 2A deer hunt in October anyone have any pictures of bucks they have taken out of there?

Tough hunt, not trying to discourage but prepare yourself you will likely not see a buck most days unless your dialed in, most of that unit is thick PJ county, although the unit can and does produce a big deer from year to year, if your not looking for a giant, id cover county and keep your head out the window looking for tracks, dial in where you are noticing high deer activity and get high and glass where possible. Lots of roads which will help you cover country, glass glass glass. Stay tight to the sign you're seeing.

Thanks for the info this is the first time he is hunting a big game animal. So I just want him to have a good time and hopefully get him a deer. We are not looking for a monster just a shooter buck. We will most likely take the first legal buck we see. We are planning on getting out there hopefully sometime in June to do some scouting!

We were antelope hunting there about 15 yrs ago. Buddy shot a doe. It fell on top of a rattle snake. True story.

I can take my boys into the field. May bring the oldest on the 2b nov hunt to hang around camp.
