Unit 29 buck

LAST EDITED ON Mar-19-08 AT 09:53PM (MST)[p]Here is my 2007 buck I took in Unit 29. This was my first year hunting Idaho and it was ok. Wasnt that impressed by unit 29 as far as big bucks. I was impressed by all the elk though. To bad I didnt draw a tag!

Damn good 29 buck. Hunted elk there in 04, scouted 5 days and hunted 5. Never saw a 2 1/2 year old buck. I was concentrating on elk but covered lots of country on foot, horseback and optics. Great buck for that unit.

Did you see wolf sign there??? Locals told us that there was no wolf depredation on livestock in that unit as of 04.

I did see a few wolf tracks but not many. Also didnt see many older bucks like you stated. Did you get an elk?? I saw a ton and am going to try to draw the controlled hunt again.
