anyone ever hunted this unit for deer? been out scoutin around, seems like mostly ram hunters. but i did see lots of tracks that look like deer down in the low joshua trees. Possibly could be bighorn sheep, but not sure how low they will wander this time of the year.

that part of "27" has more sheep than deer,but the unit runs both N.& S. of I-15.Unit Group 271-272 is the deer unit and Yes has deer and this past hunt Season,that ended Nov 30th,the Bucks were Rutting.Our hunt camp filled 4 tags on Mature Bucks.A good deer hunt,with little INK. www.silvergrandoutfitters.com

I was up in there callin coyotes when the hunt was on didnt see many hunters. how many points to draw? did you hunt on the north side of the 15?

Both sides,3 res. tags took 5 bonus points and the N.R. in camp drew in the Outfitter Draw with 3 B.P.Very good "RUT" hunt,look forward to hunting this unit again ---
