A big Thank You to all of you that offered to share information on unit 231! It was a tough hunt with the weather this year, but I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our wedding anniversary & her 40th Bday!!
While we had our sights on a bigger bull...we were not disappointed!! Thankful to have my little brother on the hunt to help with our success! Many of you offered advice and it was greatly appreciated!! Thanks again!!

It was tough...super cold and windy...elk didn't move much during the daylight hours. Probably saw 5 to 12 bulls a day, but had mornings up at higher elevations where we didn't see any. Only saw one group of 15 cows and calves, and they were up around 9000ft. Had to take advantage of glassing points to scan as many areas as possible. Due to some other obligations we couldn't show up until Thursday after the opener that may have made things a little more difficult. Still had a great time & can't complain! Can't beat an elk hunt in an awesome unit!

Nevada elk Never disappoints!. I'm still on cloud 9 over my archry elk hunt last year in Nevada that's a hunt/experience I'll never forget. Congrats on a great looking bull ?
