Unit 23 MD Lordsburg area

Has anyone hunted the southern end of 23 and had success… any tips would be much appreciated

watch out for illegals is all I've heard...

I'd be surprised if Illegals are in there, they probably already hit Lordsburg and got a ride on the 10. There are a lot of Continental Divide Trail hikers around, maybe thats the fear? Seemed pretty safe to me. What hunt do you have? We have the youth hunt coming up for the 23 Burro area.

My gf and brother have the second rifle in 23… I’ve only hunted 23 once but hunted towards mule creek and north of that…

My buddy was guiding last year on the youth hunt in the burros and sent me a picture of a tank in there

Theres some good deer but it seems the population is pretty low compared to Arizona stuff I'm used to. Theres way less tags though which is nice.

I saw some good deer before too, but the numbers are definitely low, I think the drought, and amount of predators have put a hurt on the deer population

Ah shizzle, I just looked at a map and it was 27 I heard illegals can be an issue. My apologies.
