Unit 100 Elk

Hello everyone,

I am going to request some assistance. I have been on the site for several years and I try to help people when I can. My father took me blacktail hunting at 12 years old and got me started in hunting which is now my passion. He has always wanted to kill a branch antler bull and for some reason has never been able to (hunts in Oregon, that should explain it right there). He is now 66 years old and he drew a unit 100 elk tag. I am hoping that some of you might point me in the right direction. I am excited that he might have the opportunity to get his bull that he has always wanted to get.

I appreciate any information that you could give, either on the open forum or by PM.

I don't have a lot of info on the elk in the area but i know some of the land owners and most of the main roads on the eastern side of the unit. Plus i'll be spending so time out there this spring and summer, reclaiming natural gas locations.
