Unit 10 /12 Elk

My son just got back from overseas and wants to do a horse pack trip for archery elk. Was thinking unit 10 or 12 looks good on the map for getting away plus harvests stats were good. I've never hunted either unit, sure would appreciate any wisdom someone might have.

I don't hunt up htere much. However I have friends that do. The wolves and a hard winter are taking a toll. However there are still pretty good numbers of elk. Just not what it used to be which from some accouts was pretty dang good...
