If California decided to break away from the United States like Ukraine did from Russia, and then 20 years later the United States decided to invade California to get it back, who would you support?

If a socialist/communist dictator took over the United States, and locked every body down, stopped the free movement of our people, killed our people for speaking freely, took our weapons away, outlawed the religious freedom, outlawed free enterprise, poisoned/killed/imprisoned anyone who criticized the dictator and socialism/communism government……… for 50-75 years. And then allowed a period where California and other Stated could freely leave the United States, and self govern, for fear of the United States returning to its previous practices of terror and tyranny, I would fully support California breaking away, or any other State. Russia, by virtue of it past, has not proven to deserve any loyalty or respect from previous family members.

Biden would.
Yeah, I imagine so since he got more than 11 million votes there.

It would be a great idea to pitch old newsome. King of California it might work if they did China would be heading over quick.

I support California leaving. I'd back whoever made that happen

JPickett, I am against a nuke strike on San Francisco. If the wind is blowing to the East, a lot of good conservative people will get radiation fallout. I prefer that San Francisco just drops off into the bay.

You guys go ahead and nuke California but don't come crying to me when you can't get almonds on your Almond Joy, or your lumber yard can't get Redwood decking.

Also you can start buying your rice from China instead of the good long grain rice grown in CA. In fact CA. is called the food basket of this country and you will all pay higher prices for your food.
Lets get back to dropping San Francisco into the bay while Pelosi and Harris are there with Newsome.

Rice? Lettuce? Almonds? Good grief you guys should take up hunting. I know a forum where you can learn some tips…

How much is a piece of trex these days anyway? It was $100 a stick last i checked a couple of years ago.

Im trying to move back closer to the ground. Gravity eventually wins with stuff up in the air and we all end up on the ground anyway.

All fear-mongering and hysteria from the usual snowflakes aside, I do not see these as similar outcomes. For one, California was never a separate entity belonging to itself. It was a US territory, purchased by Americans of other states. Also, it came to the US requesting admission whereas Ukraine was forcefully occupied by Russia. I am fine with the US demanding that any state must remain part of this nation. unless released by the majority in the same manner it was admitted.

CA used to be a “donor” state (tax payments exceed federal aid). Isn’t that still the case?
Not by much way back when.

"In January 2017, the California Legislative Analyst’s Office said by several measures California is, indeed, a donor state, but just barely. It receives $0.99 in federal expenditures per dollar of taxes paid."

In 2021, it was $1 to $1.

BUT...the devil is in the details. In addition to welfare, pork projects, etc., the Feds spend billions on salaries/wages, grants, contracts, retirement & other benefits, as well as for upkeep on properties it administers, such as the myriad national parks. No CA, and all those costs disappear. Given the dollar-to-dollar exchange with taxes, this amounts to a huge net gain. ;)

I'm sure they count illegal alien benefits

This punish the Russian people deal is going to come back in spades.

Can't wait until "we" decide gun ownership should mean cancelation. Or hunting.
