Uintah OTC archery elk

I am planning on hunting up in the unitahs this archery season for elk and I was hoping some of you could give me a little information on where to start looking. I'm going to go look at some areas around hoop lake. I have hunted the rifle season the previous 4 years up by bear park and always see elk. I've learned that elk typically aren't in the same area for the archery hunt. Any info would be great.

I'm also hunting that area for the first time this year. I haven't had much time to get up there but been looking at google maps a lot for area. I know they're up there just need to find them. Good luck!

Those trailheads off the Brownie Lake FS road are good area's mid week.

Don't discount Tee-Pee lakes/Red Lakes area's...trailhead due south of Brownie Lake.

See up there in early Sept. Group Site camping south site/Brownie Lake.
