Can you use a crossbow during a Type 9 (Archery Only) hunt?

Thanks. My buddy can't shoot a bow until he gets surgery on his shoulder and i wanted to see if he can still join us on an archery hunt with his crossbow.

You don't need an archery permit if you have a type 9 tag.

***The price is the same as the rifle draw tag and they don't charge an archery permit fee since it's already an archery tag only!
