How many of ya'll hunt turkey with a bow. What kind of broad heads do ya'll use, and do you use a blind or not?

I hunt turkeys with a bow. Hunt from a pop up blind and use Thunderhead 100's. Oregon doesn't allow the use of mechanical broadheads. If you're gonna start to hunt with a bow I would seriously recommed a fully enclosed quick pop-up blind. Get something light if you plan to do some hiking. Wing Supply has the best prices on blinds that I've found and pay attention to the weight, they can get pretty heavy. Use decoys to distract the gobblers attention. Again Wing Supply has a very good selection. You can find them at www.wingsupply.com.

The weight depends on how much walkin you're gonna do. I usually turn my turkey hunts into a combo shed hunt and end up walkin 5 to 10 miles a day. I 've found the 12 pound doghouse my buddy and I share to be too heavy.

There are some 6 pounders out there and I recently found a 2.5 pound 3 sided pop-up manufactured by Eastman Outfitters. It's called the Eastman's Mag Quick Set. Cabelas carries that for $29.99 and it's suppose to fit on your belt in its case and fold to 16". It's 80 inches long by 40 inches tall and has 6 shooting windows and works on the spring steel principal in popping up and folding down quickly.

I just ordered one from Cabelas and it should be here this week. It's not fully enclosed but it looks like it should conceal well enough for a bow kill. I sure like droppin 10 pounds of gear. That's more room for sheds.
