tune your bow

How hard is it to tune and adjust whatever needs to be adjusted on your bow? I've about had it with the local archery shop and am considering working on my own bow myself; just dont' know what all goes into tuning the bow. Any recommendations on maybe a book or where I could find some information on this. It'd be a Mathews bow I'm working on.

Go to acherytalk.com and look up LeEarl. He puts out an archery setup and tuning video. It may not be a professionaly produced DVD but for 10 bucks he covers everything you need to know to tune your bow. You can use that as a reference.

Tools: some sort of press, allen renches, bow square and a plumbers bubble.

I have started doing my own bow tuning. I built a press, swapped out my string and cable, installed a peep etc. Not as hard as you think. Also for a Mathews
