Any input on the trophy taker drop away rest comparing the shakey hunter vs. the original. Shakey is wider I know and that is what I have but am outfitting a new bow and was recommended the narrower version. Just curious what you thought?? nwhunter

I have the original Trophy Taker and I have never had any problems with arrows falling off or any other problems for that matter. I have never shot the Shakey Hunter so I can't compare the two, but I choose the original because it was a little lower profile. I know with some applications with the Shakey Hunter you have to trim it to make it fit. Overall I love the rest.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-12-06 AT 01:22PM (MST)[p]I did not have good luck with the Shakey on my bow. The prongs were so wide that even once it fell to the down position, the 2 bottom vanes would just barely make contact with the tips of the prongs. I tired all sorts of timing corrections before going to a Drop Zone. Nothing against it, the TT is a great rest and built really well, it just did not work on my old PSE.

I would go with the pronghorn model there newest, its a cross between the 2, I have the shakey hunter on my hunting bow and the pronghorn on my 3-D bow....but I would suggest the pronghorn for everything.

Thanks guys I think I am going with the original smaller version. Can't wait to get the new Bowtech shooting.nwhunter
