I am looking for a new sight. My preference is something with 4 pins no more no less. Good fiber optics, and strong. No trophy ridge though I already own two. What is everyones recommendation? thanks
Without doubt the Spot Hogg sites are as fine as they come. I just haven't been able to put up the money for one yet
I currently shoot a MBG Dusk Devil on my hunting bow. It works really well. The site pins are a plate and alow for 3rd axis adjustment. This 3rd axis show you if you are torquing your bow in any way. It's a pretty neat set up.
Spott Hogg! I had a Trophy Ridge and hated it! It would have never stood up to the heavy brush that I hunt. (Flimsy pins). I wound up sellig it on ebay for more than I payed for it. I love my Spott Hogg!
My son in-law purchased the "copper john" sight last year, sayed it performed well and is very bright.
My son and I use the vertical pin "trophy ridge" and yes I'd highly recommend it. I've used mine for 5 years now, he's had his 4yrs. It's tough as nails!! I've never lost a pin and it's one bright son of a gun, even for these not so good eyes. <grin>
We are mostly runner and gunners for elk and easily cover 150 foot miles a year in every imaginable terrain and they've performed flawless. ElkNut1
I like the Vital Bow Gear Trapper you can get the five pin and take one off. It has fantastic light gathering for the pins and if you like the vertical pins it has it. Also you do not have the clearance problem on the bottom like the Trophy Ridge.
MY SON AND I USE THEM .BEST SIGHT I EVER USED.
SHIPPED MY C.S.S BOW FROM UTAH TO OHIO,TO HUNT WHITE TAIL. (UPS)SHOT MY BOW WHEN I FLEW IN, NOUTHING CHANGED. TOUGH SITE.DID I TELL YOU I SHIPPED UPS!!!
WHILE I'M AT IT. WISKER BISCUT REST IS A GREAT HUNTING REST.
WOULDN'T USE FOR COMPITITION SHOOTING BUT FOR HUNTING IT'S HARD TO BEAT.GREAT IN THE TREE STAND OR WHILE STALKING!
WE TOOK TWO ELK & A NICE 4 PT MULE BUCK THIS YEAR WITH THIS SYSTEM
I decided to go with a spott hogg sight. I like it. Still working on getting sighted but it looks like a good sight. I like a lot more than the trophy ridge sights I had. thanks everyone.
