Trophy Taker Rest Question

I was looking at buying a trophy taker rest and I saw that you choose between short or long mounts. How do I know which to get for my bow? Will the long work for all bows?

I believe the long will work on almost all bows. I bought the long just so I could use it on future bows that may require a long. Another thing to watch out for with the trophy takers is your bow speed. I know people that shoot fast bows and the shakey hunter rest would not drop fast enough so they had to switch or shave material so it would fall faster. Ive been pleased with the trophy taker.

If mounting on a Hoyt Tec riser bow, use the short bar or it will protrude out in front of the riser. MMeyers

I've got a hoyt and the short bar is fine for me.
