I have narrowed my choices on sights down to the Trophy Ridge Matrix and the Copper John Dead NUTS. There is a big difference on price (TR=$100 CJ=$60) and that is why I am asking for everyones opinion on either of these two sights. Please help me out.
Thanks

I have been hunting with the matrix for two years and I love it. If it is legal in your state they also have a blue light you can mount on the sight. It's great for shooting in low light.

I used the dead nuts this year and like it a lot. You can also use the blue light on this one also. I like the orange ring around the site on the CJ. I also bought the cap to cover the pins for the CJ and I must say it has helped me save a lot of pins. Good luck in your choice and if you choose the CJ you it won't be a bad choice.

Hope this helps,
IB

I also have the Trophy Ridge, and it has served me well. You may have noticed this from past posts from me. But on the other hand I know the Copper John sight is a good one too, and for the 40.00 difference I don't think you'll be sacrificing anything. I'd save the money and consider picking up the Copper Johns!! ElkNut1

Look at the cobra sidewinder, my friend who owns a pro shop shot the dead nuts last year and swithed to it, my other buddy had the matrix and switched to the sidewinder last year. the sight is awesome

I have the CJ and really like it. Don't know about the matrix, but most of Trophy ridge sights are housed in plastic, while the CJ is metal. CJ just looked and seemed sturdier to me. I also like the orange ring to help center it.

I purchased my "cap cover" at Cabelas for $25. Don't have a light and can't really see much use for it unless I was night hunting pigs. If I can't see the fiberoptics on their own, it is too dark for ME to shoot.

If you get the CJ, be sure and get the heavier pins. The thinest ones are ok for target shooting, but hear that they break easily in the field during a hunt.

Put one on my bow yesterday. Had on old PSE Mongoose (sp?) I had had for about 15 years or more. It was a great site but I wanted to change the way I mount my quiver so this was a good excuse.

I shot it a first light this morning and it was great. Got he hunter CJ model. Appears to be a really good sight for the money. Very simple which is what I like for hunting.

Only have experience with the CJ dead nuts, but I really like it and its pretty much bulletproof.
