looking at purchasing the new razor spotter by vortex and need info on a good lightweight tripod to use with it- any help would be great!!

wyobowhunter1,

The ridgeview would be a good tripod for the Razor and is as light as I would go for the Razor Spotting Scope.

I also love the CBX legs

I would look at putting a RC - 128 Micro Fluid Head or a RC 322 Grip Action Head on the CBX legs.

Bogen tripods are great for spotting and shooting off. Check out e-bay.

If I were to spend that much to get a great spotting scope, I would probably be looking at the carbon fiber composite tripods. The composites would be much lighter and stiffer and you lose much of the advantage of a good spotter if you don't have a solid tripod, or especially if you left it in the truck because it weighs too much to pack.
