I AM LOOKING THE A GOOD TRIPOD FOR PACKING, ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS

Call the Outdoorsman in Phx. 1-800-291-8065. They make the finest lightweight tripod and carry many others.

Take a look at the Velbon LUXi F with three bubble levels, fluid head with quick release plate, closes to 18", opens to 4' and weights about 2 pounds. Very sturdy, nice unit @ $119.99

If there is anything else that I can assist you with please let me know.

I use K & K out of oregon. They sell at Sportsman Warehouse up to $325.00 They are light weight with pistol grip. PM me and I can send you more info including prices.

I have a bogen which is very heavy. I also have an outdoorsmans tripod which I feel is the best I've seen and is very lightweight but is VERY expense. I also recently bought a Nikon tripod which cost $65.00 in camo or $45.00 in black. I got the small size and it is lighter than my outdoorsmans tripod. Downfall is that it does not have quick release plates and the middle supports for the legs do not lock in the open position. But so far it works well and I am happy with it. fatrooster.

SLIK travel tripod, 22 ounces- and sturdy enough for a 65mm spotter,

they are inexpensive as well,
