So now I have a swarovski spotter (65mm sts hd)and now need a tripod set up!
want it light weight and strong and simple! quick switch from binos to scope to range finder would be ok but not req'd..
here's what I think I want.......
1:Manfrotto 190cxpro3 with a jim white head or even a outdoorman pan head!
2: gitzo.........never mind! (maybe next year!)AGHHHH!
3: SLIK PRO 714 CF II and some higher end ball head! only going to be use for hunting.... light hikes..

Congrats on your new spotter.

I have an Outdoorsman Pan Head and its the best one I have owned. I am not a pisotl grip guy.

I would go with the 613 rather than the 713. I dont think the 713 will get you to standing height, if thats what you are going for, and the 613 is 1.4 lbs lighter...just my two cents.

Whatever you do, get a good tripod/head setup...almost more important than your spotter.

Congrats on the very nice spotter. I just purchased a Manfrotto 190CXP and love it. The carbon fiber is much lighter that the aluminum model. I don't think you can go wrong with either of your first two choices for heads. Enjoy.
