MattB and I went out today for one last kick at the can. Matt found 4 moose sheds, I found 3. It's getting pretty darn tough out there. Too Green. Looks like the spring shed season is coming to a close. Guess I should give up and start hunting bears seriously again. Would like to hammer another monster before the season closes on the 15th of June. After that it will be damn close to summer scouting season.

Thought this was pretty cool, an old tree fell on top of an old moose shed.

Biggest moose sheds of the season would have to be the set that I found on the 38 shed day. That bull would be about 52 inches wide. Definately a keeper down south here. More than likely he'd be a keeper even up north. Hoping lady luck shines on me and I pull a big bull draw this year. I normally get a draw every couple of years and this year will be 3 since my last draw. Odds are pretty good in the unit I applied. Only 4:1. Have a good chance at harvesting a 45+ incher if I get drawn. Heck, saw one in that unit last year that was pushing the 60 mark. Would love to find him this year with a tag in my pocket.
