Got this in an email. Said it was published in a San Francisco newspaper.

I'd think it was fake if someone hadn't once asked me what jerky was made out of. When I responded "muscle" they said. "gross, you eat muscle?" When I asked what they thought meat was made out of they said, "I don't know . . . eggs and flour and stuff. . ." This was someone I knew back when I was in high school. Pretty funny.

I had a friend in College who was an avowed vegetarian. She was very fond of jello until I pointed out that it was made of animal by products. She barfed on the spot. I got a good laugh out of it.

"Gelatin is made of hydrolyzed collagen, which is a polite way of saying 'partially decomposed protein extracted from cow and pig hides, hooves, bones, and connective tissue'. The protein in these materials is broken down by treatment with an alkaline solution and then extracted with hot water"

And the scarry thing is they live in our neighborhoods ,go to school with our kids ,and oh yeah they breed and pass off those good ginetics!!!!!
