Thunderbasin National Grassland

Anyone ever pronghorn hunt the Thunderbasin Grassland? I have a unit 7 antelope tag for Wyoming and am wondering how the numbers of speed goats (and hunters) are on the Grassland. Should I pay to hunt private instead?

Hunted there the last three years. A lot of goats, but we didn't see many big ones. As for the pressure, I don't know, I was bowhunting, the pressure didn't seem too bad during bow season.

I hunted the Thunder Basin last year in Unit 29. My brother-in-law both got bucks. The biggest was about 11 inches. There were lots of hunters. You should be able to get an antelope on public land. Let other people chase them to you. Private is much better though. We are on a ranch in 23 this year.
