Thoughts on mulies in 23

I never seem to hear alot about many good bucks coming out of 23, thinking I will spend a little more time there next bow season. It sure seems like it would have potential with the amount of roadless and rough country it has.

I have hunted 23 sevral times with mixed results. I still haven't shot a buck in Idaho, but the two biggest bucks I have ever seen were in Idaho and one was in 23. My dad took a 180 typical out of 23 back in 92' I think, right before the bad winter. Other than that theres alot of timber, not quite what I like to hunt so I moved on to another unit.

Two years ago there was a wolf den in 23....The goverment hunter told us the pack was producing 25 pups per year and they were struggling to get them under control...Not sure how that affects mule bucks, but just thought I would pass the info...

ive been in 23 for the last 8 seasons. ive seen 3 good bucks and all were taken right in front of me by the droves of other hunters.... good luck...im looking elsewhere...for mulies
