I've ridden over that pass a number of times. Gotta like hunting Pass Creek. Any of those bulls get whacked in Scatter Ck or down in Silver Tip. We got charged by a large boar last time we were in Silver Tip...

Howdy JakeS.

It's great to see you're still "kickin' it".
That's another great year in the Cowboy State for you. CONGRATULATIONS....AGAIN.
You've made yourself right at home up there.
I wish the best for you and yours. Say hi to the wife for me and I'll try to keep the ones down here in line.... if I can. LOL

Zeke (still selling the world a small chunk at a time)

PS; You're still in my phone unless you've changed numbers.

Thanks guys, it was a super fun trip as always. And I enjoy sharing the pics, so thanks for the kind words!

Triple b, We didn't hunt silver tip, pass creek or scatter creek. But your warm, and I'm impressed by anyone that knows the most remote wilderness in the lower 48. We had slit if grizzly bear encounters.

This dude was inside 30 yards chomping down on my buddies elk quarters.

Kyle, my number did change. I'll give you a call!

Awesome bull. That is a fun ride. I always go in the north fork way. Did you use a outfitter ?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-03-13 AT 08:26AM (MST)[p]So Jake, with your experience, who's actually had his boots on the ground and eys on the country, what's your take on the wolf impact in there. Elk numbers still trending down? Low and stable? Possible increase? I'm tired of the news articles and spindoctored estimates. I'm curious what someone with 1st hand knowledge and history with the country thinks on the wolf impact specific to your hunting experience.

The elk are definitely on the decline. There are wolves and grizzly bears everywhere. The season was shortened this year to limit hunter harvest.
