Shoshone tribe being prosecuted for hunting on land belonging to them

Recently, the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation and the state of Utah have agreed on fishing and hunting rights in a lawsuit.

The Shoshone "owned" land. Says who? Who did they steal it from, they aren't an original tribe. Can I see a plot map?

It's amazing to me that they "owned" 80 million acres.

Then, via treaty, they are a sovereign nation, yet they somehow have standing in our courts?

What other sovereign nation gets standing?

If Indian reservations are a sovereign nation then they should be required to have a passport to leave that nation.
