Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes(and gasoline) .

If we left the UN there would be civil wars, genocide, slavery, bloody dictators, Islamo terriosts, famine, aids, hurricanes, tornados, crop failure in central Oregon, carpet baggers and other low lifes. The UN is not perfect by any means but there must some type of organization to unite world powers. you guys cry everytime I say lets take care of our own first calling me an isolationist, then cry that you want out of the UN, make up your mind. the UN told us not to attack Iraq and we did anyway, went well huh? if we don't listen to the UN why do you care what they say or how they vote? we already do as we wish so the UN isn't holding us back. by the way the aid we give to people who hate us is to buy them off in hopes the don't cause us or Israel any more trouble than they have to. if you think we do it out of the goodness of our heart you're nuts.

With India becoming fast one of the next superpowers competing with china, why the hell do we give them anything. Their competition with petroleum products is driving up the price of petro, and we give them money to buy even more of it.

BTW does anyone know what the foreign aid money is supposed to do in these other countries ? Do we put any stipulations on how the money is used? Who exactly takes receipt of the money?

LAST EDITED ON Sep-16-07 AT 06:23PM (MST)[p] We give Israel 8 million dollars a day in direct aid and then extra for programs we support, miltary aid is hard to put a number on but it's said to be 2-5 billion a year. . factor in what it cost us to fight the battles our support of Israel cost us and we're getting a great deal. it should be stated also that we also gaurantee billions in loans that they may or may not pay back. so when you talk about tax payer dollars being given to other governments remember who's by far the biggest hog at the trough. you conservatives who like Israel and think we should pay them more will be glad to know we're going to up our aid to them and Pelosi is 100% for it, now you have a reason to like her.
