The Old "Fred Bear Truth"

Since Fred Bear relesed the new "Truth 2", the old Truth has dropped in price by about $200. I'm in the market for a new bow and have read good things about the Truth bows. I was just wondering if anyone else uses or has used this bow? Any advice would be very helpful.

I talked to Bow shop owner and he said he thought the Truth one was a better bow than the truth 2....I think they are great bows for the price I'd go with the Truth One.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Truth 2. I also heard a lot of psoitive things about the Truth 1. If having the latest and greatest does not mean the world to you, then I would invest the $200 into new accessories.

I still can't bring myself to get rid of my four year old Mathews LX.

I know a guy who works for Sportsmans Wharehouse who says that the Truth bows, although good bows, are overpriced becuase of the Primos name. He says that PSE makes much better bows for cheaper price in their other lines.
With the decrease in the price now however,it may not be the case any more.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, weapon in one hand, calls in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

I didn't realize how over priced some bows probably are. The Truth bow that I was looking at was $550 for just the bow, and now since the Truth 2 came out it dropped to $335. And that is to my front door, no tax and no shipping. Hopefully in the next couple of months I can get it set up to my liking.

I got a Fred Bear Truth 1 last May for my first Bowhunt off of Ebay for about a hundred less than Retail and was not disappointed. I was actually looking at a Bowtech and the pricier Hoyts, but then I heard nothing but good things from Sportsman's guys and got one after doing alot of research. Since I was a beginner, this seemed like a good starting point just to make sure I liked the sport. A little practice and I shot my first Robin Hood about a month after. On the first day of the bowhunt in August at the last 1/2 hour, I got my first Archery Buck. I'm Addicted!!!

For the price, you really can't beat it and it affords you the luxury of spending a little extra on the essentials like sight, quiver, rest, arrows, and release.

I love mine, and The Truth 2 sure looks nice. Whatever you choose, you are sure to get quality and a bunch of great memories.

(PS. You can see my buck by just searching for my little story: "Bowhunt or wedding Plans..." or by searching my name)
