...experiment turned out some decent bites. The filling consisted of creamed and Mexican yellow/white cheeses, my smoked salmon, chopped green onions, paprika, black pepper, onion & garlic powder.
After stuffing them, I covered the poppers with a mixture of egg & milk which had a tsp of Huy Fong chile/garlic sauce added. They went into the flour, back thru the egg mix & into the Panko crumbs that had black pepper & paprika added. From there, they were deep-fried to a golden brown in a pan with about an inch of canola oil.
We ate four with our enchiladas last night. They were delicious.
