Almost everything that is good about me, I attribute to the influence of my father. While he was much more of a golfer than a hunter, he also introduced me to the outdoors and hunting. On this Father's Day, I pay tribute to him.

If you are so inclined, here is a chance for you to do the same.
Thanks Dad!

Hats off to my dad!
He's the spark which started the raging fire within me for all these years.
He was a simple and private man but he always had time for me.
He shot more deer, ducks and pheasants than anyone has a right to but he shot exactly one elk and never a bear, sheep or goat. The only out of State hunts he went on were for pronghorn when I took him and he always had a great time in the field.
Yep, I miss the old boy!

Yep, generally all that we are comes from our Dads. Loved to spend relaxing hours outdoors with mine. I know mine was a south Georgia quail hunter to his roots, and enjoyed the rush when an occasional cottontail burst from cover. He loved good working bird dogs too. I don't believe he ever killed a big game animal in his life, but there wasn't a better fisherman anywhere around. Thanks to him I had more fishing trips than a boy is entitled to, and we loved to spend time on boats of any size.
