Anyone out there having any luck with the cow hunt? I went out today and got into a few but not much. Does it liven up more as the season goes on??

The only elk I saw were a couple miles away through my spotting scope but for as mush ground as I covered I expected more. I herd maybe 3 or 4 shots all day.

I traveled from PA 1900 miles and hunted out of the Rash Canyon Area (4th of July Ridge to Lightening Ridge). We camped near 4th of July ridge, had horses and put the miles on everyday. The elk were not there. I heard no shots from my area to the Bears Creek area. Alot of local residents hunting in the area had told me that there are three wolf packs operating in the area and really hurt the elk herd. I was very disappointed with the amount of game in the area.
