I'd say "Coyote Out" with'em. I mean that you need to pack light and spend the night on the mountain with them...not making much noise or too much movement and staying in one spot with cover to glass (ie. a stand of pines or quakes). That way you can be up there with them first light. Those big bucks don't hang around much after shooting light. Many times I've seen white butts and rack bouncing for pines, cliffs, rocks and whatever else makes up their bedroom just as soon as my 10x Nikons could gather up enough light to even see. Also, learn their movements BEFORE the season starts. Get up there in June, July, and first of August and just observe them.....from a long distance if possible. Get to know them. It seems like all the big bucks taken have names given them....that's because they've been watched and studied. Be sneeky, coyote out, know your animals you're huntin, and put the time in. Oh yeah....make sure you can make the shot while under the fever that buck will give you as you draw on him. :)
