Team USA beats CUBA, then wins Gold Medal!

Since some of you post on here about baseball from time to time, I thought I'd share this great bit of news.

The United States Youth National Team has won the Gold Medal in the Youth World Championships. Team USA beat Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Columbia, and CUBA to get to the championship game, where they played Brazil for a second time. Team USA won by an 8-2 score this evening to capture the Gold Medal.

Justin Charles, a class of 2009 2nd baseman that plays on our summer team, was named the MVP of the tournament.

I've been watching the Little League World Series when I can but didn't know about the United States Youth National Team. What age group are they?

Congratulations to them, and especially Justin Charles. Way to go guys!
