I 100% honestly hope its a good solid machine for you. The 08s were about as terrible as it gets. BRP ironed out a bunch of issues by the end of the season, but I know people last year that were pretty pissed off unloading their brand new XP and blowing a belt within the first 15 miles... a $160 belt at that LOL!
They look like they handle amazingly well though.

If I honestly had the budget for a new sled + turbo it would be a new assault. I'm interested to see how the '09 tracks hold up though with the new rubber compound and speed restrictions.
My boy is only 8 so we keep the family snowmobiling limited to easier riding areas. But as he gets older and a better rider we'll get some newer sleds down the road. I ride a 800, bought a 600 for the wife and my boy rides an old PhazerII ST. Its pretty comical to see how well that old sled goes in the fluff with a 50lb rider.
My brother-in-law spends around $12k a year on snowmobiling... sleds, trailers, mods... you name it. They have 8 sleds for 5 people atm, a bit over the top if you ask me.
Now if we could just get some snow to ride on!!!
