A Austin Guest Jul 15, 2012 #3 The "M" Stands for Magnesium the way I understand it. Almost impossible to tell if in your hand. BUT it is important when ordering attachments, like digiscoping or ##### adapters, because the eye piece has a difference of a couple millimeters.
