Super Bowl eve's meal...

...was sort of a rigatoni casserole, with layers of pasta, ground beef & sauce mixture & mozzarella cheese baked in the oven. The meat was first sauteed in a pan with jalapeno, mushrooms, onions, garlic & assorted spices. The tomato sauce was then added & allowed to simmer. One of my homemade meatballs, a glass of red zin & crispy bolillo slices with herb butter completed the ensemble.

Just out of the oven..

Sprinkled with parmesan cheese...
