First set of 2013! And a beautiful sunrise to go with it.

That sunrise must be covering a well known mountian top,or building since its Utah.

If it was Wyoming, I would be in big trouble. These are a little closer to home, Utah.

Just so you know, Wyoming doesn't open for shed hunting until May.

I follow all the rules Dryboot. Trust me, this was not on Henefer or East Canyon. I live in Ogden and there are several areas closer to home that I keep an eye.

That sun had to take some serious time.. ever thought about quitting your day job and becoming graphic designer matt?

Good looking set of sheds, the color at the base is cool looking. Don't blame ya for covering up the background,, anymore a guy has to look out for himself

HJB, pretty funny how your busting other guys chops for "Chasing deer" to early and not leaving them alone.
Feb 19??

Let me refresh what you said on the "Stop chasing them thread",,

Where the heck do you live??? I have 3 Feet of snow on my lawn in Northern Utah, and there is more than that on the winter range. Makes no sense for people to be out looking for sheds right now even if there are a few bucks that have dropped. Give the deer a chance to survive the deep snow.

I have been seeing guys chasing deer all over the front here in Utah. We are having a really bad winter and these deer are suffering pretty bad. I hate to see guys out there doing that especially this early.

And don't give me the excuse that the snow has melted!! Fact is your out hunting way to early according to your ethics policing of others!

The way you explain the deer?s health they should have at least a couple months to gain back their strength!! LETS HEAR IT!!!

He had to get em and mount them to add to his trophy collection. Shed FEVER was too much for him to resist. Sounds like the typical case on any hill that bucks or bulls winter on. Of course he says don't go looking to early. If we all listen to him he will be the only guy picken em up.

>HJB, I am still waiting for
>your response to post 18
>and 19??

Hey RUGSTER!

You know what His ATV looks like,Right?:D

The Dew I had for Breakfast wasn't Bad so I had one more for Dessert!:D

Ha, I knew this was coming.

I will most definitely use the excuse that the snow had melted, the deer had shed, and also the deer had moved way up the ridge from where they had been hanging out. I actually only made a short hike in there to the base of the hill, because I didn't want to push anything around.

If I remember right, the last post was about "Chasing Deer", not picking up antlers. If I can't hike on bare ground, I won't be out there. It's the guys hiking through 3 feet of snow pushing deer all over the place that I was reffering to.

There were no deer even close to this area when we were up there. Oh, and I use the quads I was given at birth.

Something tells me this response won't be "Good Enough" for you, but sorry, that's all I got.

>So you found them at the
>base and then carried them
>to the top for the
>picture?

Nope. Found them at the base and carried them back to my truck. You would be able to see the tops of the mountains behind this little hill, but I chose to cover them up as they can be easily identified. This was a really short hike and this little hillside was as far as I went.

Any other questions?

I made my little rant post on the other thread in regards to a guy that I was watching push deer hard to get antlers to drop. This man was not shed hunting, he was intentionally running deer around to get antlers to drop (call that shed hunting if you want). That was the reason I was pissed and said what I said. Hope this clears things up a bit.
