Summer Sheds

I took a few days off this past week and my wife and I decided to go riding and see if we could find any sheds. As it turned out even though the grass is pretty high we managed to find a few up high.

This was the first one I found as it lay.

Sweet finds to say the least. The summer grass and brush is too long here to go out looking, but I did find a matched set of a young bull moose the other day while at work. I was amazed I found them in chest deep fern while I was crossing a slide.

Rod as usual those are some awesome pictures. I just have one question. Where are you putting them when you pack them out? I would like to see one of your horses with a pack full. I know some area's you go you can only take pictures but I am sure you go were you can pack some out. Nice pictures I am definatly envious.

Man, you just couldn't paint any country better than that!! Nice pics, thanks for sharing.

Am I wrong or is that Faunt Mountian, and the others taken on the back side of Grizzle up the South Castle and a little west?

No but you're close. These pictures are on the Waterton side. The head of the South Castle joins the head of the valley these pictures were taken in. That's Blakiston peak in the background.

Man I think it would be worth a trip up there to just ride around, that sure is some pretty country. VERY nice pictures do you haul any out with you.

Thanks Gator.
Yes it is just about as pretty country as you'll see anywhere and it's nice to ride most of it. No not if I'm in the park.

I've been a little west of there a few times and I can vouch for your pictures. That has got to be some of the prettiest country bar none.
