Lets see pics of some of the odd ball stuff(other than sheds) you have found while poundin the hills....

Here is a cougar skull, it's not really strange in the sense that it doesn't belong but it's definitely a rare find. It scores 15 and 1/8. (that's not an inflated score, that's accurate :) )

I don't have pictures of other stuff I've found. Half a dozen bottles from the late 1800's and early 1900's, shoes and shoe parts, a knife, too many balloons to count, underwear, tools, etc. Needless to say, somethings come home with me and others do not.

Thats one of the few I havnt found,i have found ballons in some REMOTE spots as well.

On one occasion my bro and I happened upon a dead buffalo, fairly recently dead, in a area with 0 buffalo. Turns out a few got loose in that area. Thing is, that was about a year before we found him. He lived a while in the area . . . On another occasion, my bro found an H&R .22 revolver and a knife in a sheath. On find that sticks in my mind as strange is the time I found a nice elk shed, which was match to the one I'd found 3 years earlier, spotted from 3/4 mi away. This was in a fairly remote area. If that wasn't weird enough, upon approaching the shed, I find that it's directly on top of another elk shed, which was his shed from the prior year.

I was on my way to do some scouting above timberline and about 5 miles in I found a full can of coors light. What was strange I found a can about every 30 yards for a total of 11 cans. I never saw another person and I was 5 miles into a wilderness. Worked out for me, except I have never drank at 12500ft before and was buzzed after 3 cans.

found old stove in area where there are no roads.. deep canyon in pines...

Yrs. ago, hunting in NV Area 061 (Jack Creek) I paused for a breather while hiking a steep mountainside. I looked down at my feet to find a military .50 cal. casing. Thought perhaps a plane from Mtn. Home Air Base in Idaho long, long ago had dropped it. This yr., I had two unusual finds while shed hunting: a 1926 Nevada license plate and a "shed antler" which was just the base and brow tine of a broken rack. About 20 yrs. ago now, I found a hunting knife with the leather-bound handle all shrivelled and blade pitted with rust. I cleaned my memento as best I could, and I have used the knife ever since, despite it being still pitted and worn thin from age and many sharpenings.

A few years ago on the Wasatch I came across a duffel bag full of old shoes. I still haven't thought of a logical explanation for why someone would be carrying around a couple dozens pairs of shoes up in the hills - somewhat creepy.
