I went out today to check on the local deer.. saw some good bucks still packing both sides.....I did stumble onto a big buck that had some cheaters on both sides. I only got about a 10sec look before he got over the ridge, but long enough to see some trash sticking out... so I backed out and hope I didnt bump him too hard... I will give him a few weeks and go back to pound the hill he was on!!!

nice job hope you can get them. Some in washington are starting to drop, but most of the bigger bucks are still up high due to lack of weather here, but good luck and happy New Years everyone.

I live in Idaho but horn hunt eastern oregon. Every year i am amazed at the big bucks still packing in March. Never seen any small bucks with horns in march, but always see several big bucks. WEIRD! I start picking up sheds here in Idaho Jan. 1.

I went out again this last weekend (1-8-06),,,same old story,,,"If you watch a pot of water it wont boil" I was watching a couple of smaller 4points sparring and pushing each other around, I was waiting for one of there horns to pop off,, but the deer gods wasnt helping me! maybe next week end!
