I have two bachelor herds scouted and there are some nice deer in each group. The problem is they like to bed mid morning on a big mountain that has nothing for cover other than some waist high sage. They like to bed about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way to the top. There is very little topography for cover. I will of course come in from above but it's a big mountain and circling around and coming from the top could take all day. I'll close in with sock feet too. Got any additional stalking tips for me? This is gonna be tough.
