Spruce Mountain Nevada Bull Elk Archery Tag Drawn: First time Public Land Hunter

Hey Everyone,

I am a new to the public land hunting, as well as elk hunting in general. I spent most of my youth hunting white tail on private land in Texas. While I know my odds are very slim, I was hoping anyone could provide some general information regarding the spruce mountain area in nevada, as well as general back country hunting tips. I am trying to gain as much knowledge as i can in a hurry, but it seems overwhelming at times!
