Spotting scopes?

Had a question regarding spotting scopes. My dad bought a new Leica 65mm (angled) spotting scope last year and after he brought it home he read it wasn't waterproof (my bad since I had wanted an angled one). I've seen different shows where they had the angled scope in a protective cover when they were glassing and was wondering if just straight spotting scopes are waterproof and if so, what kind of covers do you all use for the angled ones?

Just wondering where you read that your scope is not waterproof? If it is not, is it because of the angled eyepiece? I have'nt been able to find any information saying that any of the upper end scopes are not waterproof. Just wondering because I have an angled 80mm swarovski and I know that it is classified as waterproof. As for cases, I know swarovski makes cases for both straight and angled, and I believe that leica makes one for at least angled.

Leica makes a custom one.
